Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan (1958) belongs to ‘Alpial Rajput’ family of Village Chakri which was earlier a part of Tehsil Fateh Jang.

He is currently the leader of opposition in the National Assembly, and Chairman Public Accounts Committee. He has won as an MNA of PML (N) for the seventh time in the general elections of 2008. He took oath for as the National Assembly seat on 24 March 2008. From 31 March, 2008 to 12 May, 2008, Nisar Ali Khan was a senior minister and held the portfolios of Ministry of Communication and Ministry of Food and Livestock (MINFAL). However, all the PML-N ministers resigned en route on 12 May, 2008 protesting the delay of restoration of judges by the PPP-led government.
A seasoned and scrupulous politician, for sure; Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is married and has three daughters and a son studying in Aitcheson College, Lahore. He is the youngest sibling of his five more brothers and sisters.
